Dock Regulations & Application

Docks on, in or over any lake of Lake Arrowhead must be in compliance with the following:

  1. Possession of a valid dock permit for construction, from the LAC Board of Trustees.

  2. Payment of the annual Easement assessment by June 1.

  3. Size and material limitations as established by LAC

    • a. Dock may be no larger than 8’ x 10’;

    • b. Dock may have a gangplank, no larger than 3’ x 8’ to provide access from the shore;

    • c. Dock and gangplank must be constructed from non-biotoxic materials

  4. Maintenance of the dock must be performed so it is kept free of hazards and clean and orderly. The maintenance and upkeep of a dock is the sole responsibility of the member to whom the property belongs.

  5. Notification in writing to the Board of Trustees of any changes in the member who desires to keep a dock.

  6. The LAC shall not be liable for any injury occurring on any dock located in the Lake Arrowhead lakes.

  7. Any dock considered by the Board of Trustees to be unsafe, hazardous, or in a run-down condition shall be removed at the owner’s expense, if not corrected within fourteen (14) days of notification by the Board of Trustees or the Lakes Chair.

  8. Failure to comply with dock regulations shall result in action by the LAC which may include, but is not limited to:

    • a. Dock removal;

    • Legal action for collection of current and/or past assessments and/or dues

    • Prosecution for trespass

  9. The LAC Board of Trustees or its approved agents are the only authority on docks. No individual will install or remove a dock without the approval of the LAC.

  10. The LAC Board of Trustees has the right to approve or deny any dock applications. The LAC Board of Trustees has the right to remove any dock that is in violation of the above dock rules.
