BENEFITS
Your Community - The best reason for joining
the Lake Arrowhead Club is to support your immediate community. The Lake
Arrowhead Club is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to maintain
the privately held lakes and property of Lake Arrowhead. An elected Board
of Trustees that volunteer their time and effort to the community oversees
the Club. The lakes and property of the Lake Arrowhead Club do not receive
any financial support from Denville or Mountain Lakes tax dollars.
Private Clubhouse - The Clubhouse was built in 1926 and includes a
carpeted and centrally air conditioned main hall overlooking Arrowhead
Lake, a full kitchen and a small pub with a fieldstone fireplace. The
Clubhouse is open to members and their guests on some Saturday nights.
Events are held throughout the year including a New Year's Eve gala, Superbowl
party, a pancake breakfast, Pictionary contests, Memorial and Labor Day
celebrations, 4th of July activities, an annual beach barbecue, children's
Halloween party, pot luck dinners and more. The pub and all events are
self-supporting and proceeds are reinvested in the Club. The Clubhouse
is available for private rentals at very reasonable rates by members and
has a maximum occupancy of 100 persons.
Swimming - Beach facilities are maintained on Arrowhead Lake. These
include, swim lanes, a roped off shallow section for young children, diving
board, floating dock, children's swing set and a restroom. Storage is
available for beach chairs and toys. Lifeguards or beach attendants are
on duty during the official swim season. On holidays, beach games are
organized for the children.
Boating - Boating is permitted on all Lake Arrowhead waters. To
reduce pollution and noise levels, only electric motors are allowed. On
Sundays, members of the Sailing Club meet to take part in their afternoon
sailing regatta on Arrowhead Lake.
Fishing - The waters of the Lake Arrowhead community boast large
and healthy populations of fish. The species include Largemouth and Calico
Bass, Muskellunge, Yellow Perch, Catfish, Pickerel and various sunfish.
Most anglers support catch and release to maintain excellent fishing.
Sports Program - The Lake Arrowhead Club has membership in the Hub
Lakes Association of Morris County. This association provides organized
sports competition between a number of local lake communities. The majority
of sports are geared toward adults who wish to engage in friendly sports
activity. Lake Arrowhead competes in softball, volleyball, table tennis,
horseshoes, bowling and golf. Adolescents can join in table tennis and
a one day track and field event.
Butterfly Field - The Club owns and maintains a small park with
a softball diamond, lighted volleyball and basketball court, horseshoe
pits and children's swing set and slide. The park is often utilized for
community activities and is an excellent place to exercise your pet.
