Open to  LAC Club members only

Attention All Lake Arrowhead Swimmers!

(ages 5 to 18)

Our PIRATE Swim Team is open to all swimmers at different levels. This is a fun and energetic team that is always looking for new swimmers. Our coaches this year are familiar to many of you, the sister/brother team of Lauren & Mike Scornavacca. They will show your child different swimming techniques that will help them accomplish their goals throughout the swim season*. Our swim season begins with the first practice on Monday, June 19 and ends the weekend of August 5th and 6th with a Championship Meet & a dance at White Meadow Lake!

Hub Lakes Swim Teams consist of many of the lakes throughout Denville, as well as Mountain Lakes, White Meadow and Lake Valhalla. Some teams are larger than others. Since Lake Arrowhead’s team is on the smaller side we have teamed up with Rainbow Lakes (Parsippany) and Lake Parsippany. We are called the PIRATE swim team. Our practices are held at Rainbow Lakes (behind Zeris Inn on Rte 46) 4 times a week. Meets will be held at the various lakes throughout the season, generally once a week.

Our first practice is Monday, June 19 at Rainbow Lakes 5:30 - 6:30 pm. We will have swimmer registration ($40 registration fee per swimmer, does not include purchase of swim team suit & cap) that evening so please try and attend. Attached are directions to Rainbow Lakes, registration form and a schedule of the upcoming meets.

We have several kids from Lake Arrowhead that have been on the PIRATE team for many, many years. These swimmers will be there for our new swim members. They will help your child at the practices as well as make sure they feel comfortable at the meets.

If you need help getting your swimmer back and forth from practice, I am sure we can work out a car pool.

Once again, more information will follow shortly.

Until then, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact one or all of the people below. They can answer all of your questions. Thank you and Happy Swimming!!!!

*coaches will provide swimming techniques but will not be providing swim lessons.
